Wedding in Brick Church Museum

The first wedding in the Brick Church Museum building since 1954 occurred on May 29th. Jillian Kinnetz, daughter of Brenda and Neal Kinnetz, granddaughter of Helen and Gilbert Kinnetz, longtime members of GHS, married Sergeant Craig Thomas Tauteroff, son of Robin and Kathleen Tauterouff of Canandaigua with Mayor Jerry Fremouw officiating. The wedding party consisted of Maid of Honor Ashley Erb, Best Man Chris Tauterouff, Ring Bearers Regan Taylor and Zachary Calvani and Flower Girls Madison Calvani and Katie MacDonald. Music was supplied by Jim Fremouw. The bride was escorted by her father along the upstairs gallery and down the stairs to meet her future husband by the mantle in back of the great room. Readings were chosen by the couple for Tracy MacDonald and Sherryle Godkin to compliment their ceremony. This is a wedding that will be remembered as historical being the first in our Brick Church museum and the first wedding ceremony since 1954 when the building was a Baptist Church. Having a Mayor of Clyde to perform the ceremony has happened one other time in history as far as research into our village minutes and records show. The bride’s mother and father, Neal and Brenda, were married by Mayor Tom Caprilla of Clyde in the park bandstand on September 17, 1994. Jill and Craig are making their first home at Fort Drum.
