Clyde-Savannah Boy Scouts’ Display

The annual Clyde-Savannah Boy Scouts’ exhibit was on display at the Brick Church Museum from the 8th through the 14th of February. A council representative visited and judged the presentation and hopes high are that the Clyde Savannah scouts will get news of another winning display for their division.
Clyde-Savannah Girl Scouts’ Sunday Display & Reception

The Girl Scout Sunday display and reception was held at the Galen Historical Society's Brick Church Museum on the 8th of March. Pictured are members of several Clyde-Savannah Girl Scout troops who participated in the event. The exhibit was on display until March 14th.

The GHS accessions committee met in March to organize and assess the relevance and value of the many donated items to be included in our inventory of Clyde/Galen related collections. Jim Darnell, Hugh Miner, Sherryle Godkin, Patty Godkin, Ruth Gillette and Myron Schmoldt helped committee members Dave Hickey and Martha Carpenter to sort through the recent donations.
We wish to Thank our current committee for all their years of dedication and work for our Historical Society. Members include Chairman David Hickey and Polly Barnes, Martha Carpenter and Ellen Bellizzi. When completed we will highlight a listing of new items to the Galen Historical Society collections.
Our committee is ready to retire and we are looking for members who are interested in assessing donations and entering them into our data base and collection.
Clean Up day at Brick Church Museum

On a chilly February 28th, a group of hearty individuals met to give the museum a spring cleaning. Attending were Ruth and Bob Gillette, Bob and Barb Meade, Mel and Lucille Stickles, Joan Thoms, Marion Arliss, and Patty and Sherry Godkin. THANK YOU to all these helpers.
Another clean up day to get ready for the summer season will be held April 4th at 10 am. All members are invited to join in on the fun.
