Accessions Committee & Guidelines
The accessions committee is led by David Hickey and includes Polly Barnes, Martha Carpenter and Ellen Bellizzi
with computer intake by Sue Ayers.
The duties of the committee are to review the items donated to the Galen Historical Society and
determine if an item is to become part of our collection.
1. Age and condition of item.
2. How many of the same item do we already have?
3. Relationship to the Town of Galen-Village of Clyde.
When donating an item or items to our Society you will be asked to fill out a simple form:
1. Item name, description, use.
2. Date of donation.
Once the item is reviewed and selected for accession it will have a permanent number affixed to it
and the information will be entered into our computer. This will help us to comply with state regulations
and guidelines, and enable us to create an inventory of our collections.
